The Holy Eucharist II Sorry, those were too easy. Please continue... 1. There is no way that God, Creator and Master of the Universe, could make Himself Present to us on earth through the appearances of bread and wine. Especially not after He became incarnate through a Jewish Virgin, lived among us for 33 years, suffered and then died on a cross just so that our sins might be forgiven. a) True; He couldn't possibly humble Himself more than that. b) True; He coudn't possibly love us that much. c) True; He hasn't quite mastered His miracle business. d) False; He can do anything. He is, after all, God. 2. How can Jesus change bread and wine into His Body and Blood? a) He can't; He's not a miracle worker. b) He can't; it is scientifically impossible to change bread and wine into flesh and blood (especially Divine Flesh and Blood) without it looking like flesh and blood. In fact, it is also scientifically impossible to walk on water, but that has nothing to do with anything. c) He can't, and He only went through all the trouble of saying it so that people would develop independence of Him and start their own churches. d) Because He is God, and He can do anything. 3. All of Jesus' disciples accepted this teaching. a) True b) False c) Both True and False 4. Where in Scripture does it say that because of Jesus' teaching of the Holy Eucharist, many of His disciples abandoned Him? a) It doesn't say it anywhere, because every one of His disciples had a lot of faith in God and accepted it on just that—faith. b) John 3:16 c) John 3:3 d) John 6:66 5. Satan "celebrates" every time one of God's creatures denies the truth of the Holy Eucharist. a) True b) False Go to close-up photo of Jesus in the monstrance Return to top
